OTHER WORK
Brian has written for news, policy and cultural publications, given talks on rural issues across the United States from a TEDx talk in California to Q&As in the Midwest, and done interviews with everyone from local farm radio to major national news organizations and media outlets on both the right and the left. He’s also worked with a range of public figures and organizations impacting the economy and public policy – from professional sports teams and entrepreneurs to rural economic projects, bipartisan policy groups, and (in his past life in the public policy arena) U.S. senators and governors.

More about the farm
Reisinger Hilltop Farms, ran by Brian’s dad and sister, is a fourth-generation Century Farm that began in the early 1900s and has weathered economic depression, technological change, and all manner of weather.
The Reisingers sold their dairy herd after more than 100 years of milking in 2021, and today raise heifers for other dairy farms, beef for consumers, and a range of crops for the open market.
Though Brian’s sister, Malia, is the one with the talent for crops and cattle, he helps out on the business side and pitches in with chores and fieldwork. And he spends all the time he can at his little cabin in the woods out back of the farm.
